A Letter From The President Welcome to our summer-edition of Adventures! While we take a couple of months off from our monthly luncheons, our new AFL Board has been busy at work. Our annual Board Retreat was held June 18th at Lazlo's in the Haymarket. This meeting served as a discussion springboard for the upcoming year as we talked about topics like: > Taste of the Vine which took place June 20th> Our AFL booth at Big Red Welcome on August 26th > Red, White & Hot Chili Cook Off on September 26th > Ad Camp on November 19th > Winterfest Ales & Auction on January 16th > ADDYs Awards on February 7th > Formation of a 60th Anniversary Committee > Our Public Service recipient for this year - Junior Achievement As you can see, we have a very busy calendar. That's where you come in. We need volunteers. If you can find even just a couple of hours each month to serve on one of our committees, it would be a tremendous help. We understand how valuable your time is and we promise not to waste it. One thing that has always impressed me about the AFL is that we know how to get things done … and we know how to have fun in the process!
