AFL Welcomes TAG’s Mark Strong for November Luncheon
November’s AFL luncheon will feature Mark Strong, General Manager, TAG Ideation New York (McCann Erickson). His presentation is entitled “Youth Marketing: Cracking the Code” and will provide attendees with an in-depth look at how McCann Erickson's TAG Ideation approaches insight development, creative collaboration and idea deployment in the youth space.
The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1040 P Street. Networking and registration begin at 11:45 a.m. with the luncheon program beginning at noon. Cost to attend is $14 for students, $16 for members, and $21 for non-members. For more information, or to make your reservation, please call 434-6664 or e-mail info@adfedlincoln.org. A Letter From The President
November is a month that brings us Daylight Savings Time, Thanksgiving and Ad Camp! That’s right….Ad Camp is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14th in conjunction with our membership monthly luncheon. I am thrilled with the support we are receiving from both members and businesses to pull off this grand event, and I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you.

Ad Camp November 14, 2007 - A Chance for Students to "Rub Elbows" With Local Ad Pros
Ad Camp goes down Wednesday, November, 14th 2007 at Embassy Suites. Ad Camp gives the opportunity for college students, recent graduates, and those new to the advertising industry to learn more about the many areas of advertising. Students spend an entire day listening to, talking with, and eating lunch in the company of people who have the jobs they want.

Red White & Hot Chili Cook-Off: AFL Rocked the Dock!
The 2nd annual Red White & Hot Chili Cook-Off was blessed with great weather and the result was a large crowd at the Embassy Suites dock who sampled the spicy offerings from 12 local chefs, grooved to the blues as only Levi William can lay ‘em down, and helped us raise money for the Autism Family Network.

Legislative Report: Hands Off the Cookie Jar
The Federal Trade Commission is exploring the idea of a "Do Not Track" list. Much like its "Do Not Call" Counterpart, being part of this list would prevent companies from tracking the surfing habits of consumers with cookies and other similar methods.
